Neon Poisoning's Blog Writer Voted "Foxy Houston Blogger" By Houston Blog Neon Poisoning

Houston Magazine (so hip it's a total bitch to find on Google, try it!) wrote about three Houston bloggers as ones to read.  See if you can find something... incongruous in the article's second paragraph.
"...One is a snarky Manhattan based socialite and self-proclaimed 'style snob' from a powerful H-town fam. Another is an artsy babe who knits on the bus, and from his new Brooklyn home, offers wacky fashion news and poetically wary observations about the world.  The third is an affable Heights Hipster with design and shopping tips to spare..."
It was In(side) the Loop that posted pix of parts of the article.  She lives in Houston.  Thus making her the third blogger in the article.  Copious internet research has not unearthed the other two and I have yet to go to an over-priced boutique store for the purpose of tracking down said magazine.

My reaction to 66% of the bloggers mentioned in the Houston blogger article residing in NYC is the same as if I lived in New York and was told the best NYC bloggers to read were currently residing in LA. I mean, really? This is the best you could do?

Thanks for the link! The magazine can be found online here: http://media.modernluxury.com/digital.php?e=HOUS
...although the January issue isn't up quite yet!

The other two bloggers were Mary of NonSociety.com and Craig Hunter of cubistliterature.vox.com

Hope this helps in your mad search!
Best,
Courtney

I am with you Rob! I read the article that was subtitled "Meet the Houstonians hipping up the blogosphere!" Really? Come on! No bloggers actually live in Houston? I think the "from a big oil family" helped get them into the mag! I want to read about bloggers actually living in Houston, NOT NYC!

Thanks Lulu.

So, since it's clear we don't think the article did Houston bloggers any favors, who do you think deserves a mention? Who are you reading?

I read local blogs but it's almost like the article was a non-starter. I don't know what blogs I would nominate to represent Houston on the blogosphere.

I would like to add that I do live in Houston -- so there was at least one of the bloggers mentioned that actually lives in the city, in The Heights, as it states.

Hey Courtney,

No slight was intended and it should be duly noted that you reside in H-town. And you blog. 1 out of 3. But a one-blogger article that would have been mighty short and the writer got paid by the word. Padding!
